At the end of March, when the iconic cherry blossoms were in full bloom, I had the pleasure of capturing this beautiful couple amidst the dreamy pink petals of The Quad. The soft, pastel hues of the blossoms and the golden-hour light created a romantic, fairytale-like setting that perfectly complemented their love story. The Quad’s signature Yoshino cherry trees, with their fascinating history, added a touch of timeless elegance to the session. Legend has it that these trees were purchased for $1.25 each in 1939 and originally planted at the Washington Park Arboretum before finding their forever home at the University of Washington. Standing beneath their delicate branches, Anna and Christian shared laughter, quiet moments, and heartfelt glances, making for photos that feel both intimate and enchanting. From strolling hand-in-hand along the blossom-lined pathways to stealing kisses under the canopy of pink, their love and connection were undeniable.
