Erica and Alec’s Wedding

Erica and Alec's Wedding|Court House Square|Tacoma, Washington

To this day, Erica and Alec’s wedding has been one of my favorites. When a couple has amazing chemistry, it rubs off on you. It’s easy to say, Erica and Alec certainly had chemistry -- I feel it to this day.

With weddings, I usually end up starting in hotel or somewhere on the property of a venue, but this time it was a little different. Erica and her bridesmaids decided to get ready at an Air BnB and it was a fantastic choice. While Erica was getting her make up done, she got to overlook the Puget Sound, not something you always get at a venue. There was plenty of room for everyone to move around and be comfortable helping the general atmosphere allowing everyone to relax and smile. The bridesmaids were hilarious as they joked around and gave each other massages. Everyone was being themselves, and I’ll be honest, there is nothing more I can ask for.

Once Erica and her bridesmaids were all ready, it was time for the first look. Alec was waiting for us at Wright Park in Tacoma, somewhere I love to frequent. The park was covered in beautiful colors as fallen leaves coated the ground. First looks like Erica and Alec’s are to die for. Erica burst into tears upon seeing Alec, it was the sweetest thing. They stood and whispered to each other only words they know. Moments like these make me so happy to do what I do.

After their moment, we proceeded to take pictures with family and the bridal party. Alec and his groomsmen were all looking sharp. Erica and her bridesmaids, beautiful. The whole bridal party had chemistry as I proceeded to take their portraits.

An hour or two of the outdoors was enough and it was time for the ceremony. I had never been to the Court House Square in Tacoma before, I had no idea it was a venue as it seemed like a regular building. It was beautiful inside with an old rustic feel to it, completely unexpected for me, but surprises are always fun! Beyond the Ceremony, there were a few rooms filled with furniture that looked like it was from the 1950’s. Erica and Alec took full advantage of this as they had me take some of most romantic, beautiful, rustic style photos in these rooms.

It was time for me to let Erica and Alec mingle with their guests and enjoy the rest of their night of toasts, dancing, and love. Their friends and family had beautiful things to say about Erica and Alec. Their day was perfect, and I hope that they remember that forever now.
